Heck yes!! $12.39 worth of free stuff at the store. Now you can laugh if you want, doesn't sound like much money and maybe in my younger years I would have scoffed at it. No big deal if you loose that in the washing machine. Not today however; I walk out of the store just a little bit less stressed than if i hadn't of saved that money. I don't get into the bekah Mobile and have a perma scowl on my face all day from spending $300.00 on two/three weeks worth of groceries. $12.39 goes a long way for us. It is $5.00 in gas, $5.00 for two gallons of milk (if it is on special), a bag of beans, and maybe a candy bar if I have a midnight sweet tooth aching for some sugar.
Jason was recently fired for trying to make his life better by going to school. They couldn't work with his schedule. With the help of family we have been able to stretch small amounts of money over a long period of time. I used to shrug my shoulders at my mom as she clipped coupons out of every Sunday newspaper methodically with a system that puts accountants to shame. this morning however i sat down at the table and looked over her pile. My eyes started to shine with dollar signs. CaCHING! oh the savings! So I see my Sunday mornings filled with scissors and the crinkling sound of newspapers between my fingers. JOY!
Winter is here in the good ol' New Mexico. And for all you people that don't believe it gets cold out here you are crazy. Okay we might be crazy or spoiled we rarely get into the negatives but 20-30 degrees just makes my chonies (panties) freeze! Is winter over yet?
Today it is our mission to get the house decorated for Christmas. I don't really feel like it, and would much rather be outside shoveling mounds of animal poop. Does that make me a Scrooge? I might do something artsy with my daughter too. We will see how the days goes.
I have also posted a picture of some slippers I made. I love them!! and will be making massive amounts of socks ans slippers to keep my toesies warm. So until next time Peace and Love and Stuff!
