Poor kid

Thanks to a fellow blogger, this music video caught my attention, but not in a good way.  You will understand after watching it.  Apparently this Jenna Rose is only twelve years old.  THAT'S RIGHT TWELVE.  Ark Music Factory is the company producing this video, and personally I think they should be in court fighting for their freedom after producing this form of child pornography.  Twelve people!

These people (parents included)  are taking these poor girls straight from the classroom and onto the strippers pole. It makes me sick.  At what point do you tell your little girl, "that it is okay to put yourself out in the world with this image."  Who signs these contracts?  I don't think this would be appropriate for a 17 year old girl to do a video like this let alone a 12 year old.

This is just another case of parenting gone wrong. To make matters worse, these people have subjected her to horrible and disgusting comments on YouTube.  Please people do not blame this child.  Do you think that in the end it was really her decision to dress, dance, and sing like this?  Maybe she thought it would be a good idea, as many young girls are often confused about right and wrong and what not.  But in the end it should have been up to the parents to make that finale decision.  Put your foot down damn it!

Video's like this only make it easier for pedophiles to get their jollies.  Arg I am so frustrated with the music industry.  But then again it is up to the parents to protect their children from people who try to exploit them.

The worst part of the lyrics is her singing "Oh, come on by the crib".  Do you think they are actually suggesting a baby crib?

Made me even more upset when she says.  "
"Just shaking that boom boom. Going all around and around and back again"

That made me mad! When I say "boom boom"  Violet starts dancing.  Now when I say it,  I don't think I will be able to get this video out of my head.

Garden Update.

I have a minute to give you all an update on this years garden.  With any luck we will be selling at the farmers market soon.  Jason has taken Violet to the store to get some tripas for dinner tonight.  I thought fried cow intestines was gross until Denise shoved some down my throat.  I am so addicted.
I had a CALA meeting last Thursday, and got some very good information about Asexual Propagation and seedlings.  Asexual Propagation is just a smart ass way of saying growing plants from seeds.  That is exactly what I have been doing.  I had my little dixi cups full of dark soil and made little holes for my seeds.  I was so excited when I got my first little sprouts of the season.  But only some of them came up.  Turns out I had been frying the crap-o-la out of em, with the wrong soil.  Apparently to much fertilizer burns em up.  So the transplanting begins.  So far they are doing better, and most of them have got at least two or three leaves.

Every thing is turning green out side.  New grass is sprouting, and flowers are budding,  bee's preparing their attack plans on me, and the turtles are tanning in the sun.  We have not planted in the garden yet, but you would never know as last years yield is still showing its leaves.  The stringy beanies that didn't make it into the kids mouths have all taken root in the sand.  Even four skinny asparagus stalks are sticking straight up towards the sky.

I will have to replant my strawberries.  That evil Jack Frost decided to make one last visit, and took my strawberries with him.  Jerk!  So that's it for now, enjoy the pictures of our little oasis in the desert.

I chased this butterfly around the Lilac bush forever just to get a perfect shot.

Oh our grand Ol' water tower.

Scout my moms Sacata tortis.  He is very very nosey.

Woop Woop Dreamwalker way.

Violet and I are enjoy any nice weather we get.  Makes feeding messes much easier when she can eat outside.

Ponies, Pipes, and Sex Toys

I know I haven't been on the blog lately, but things have been so busy since the ACTHA ride.  I do have some updates for you, and right now is as good a time as any.  Violet is preoccupied with some of her toys,  she is sitting on everything.  Is that a shoe?  Why yes it is, and what a great seat that would make.  Plop.

Okay first things first.  We totally rocked the ACTHA trail ride competition.  Max and I took Third place, and Jessica and Teyha ran away with fourth.  We where as surprised and shocked just like if a naked man popped out of a jack-in-a-box.  We thought we did so bad, so when they called our names to receive our ribbons, we were surprised.  Nobody could believe that our horses where rescues, and where once deprived of love and good health.  Great job Perfect Harmony!

It was a good ride!

My Mom is on vacation right now.  Visiting her honey hubby in Tuscon.  Aw silence is grand lol.  Usually Hell's gates open when ever my mom leaves the property, and havoc ensues.  However upon her preparing to leave bad ju ju was ever present.  A water pipe busted in our drive way,  and though we are very grateful it wasn't under the house,  it still was very annoying.  It is very hard work to watch my Mom, Aunt, and Uncle dig and struggle and get so dirty in the mud.  But I got some great pictures!  While my step-dad is in Tucson studying to become an engineer, my uncle Kevin stepped right into the role of "Maintenance Man".
That pipe wasn't even all of it.  When my mom and Aunt where on their way back from Lowes with the pipe pieces they got a flat tire. I couldn't help but snicker.  I wish I was their with the camera to get the pictures of them with their old lady legs sticking out on the highway.  Na, they didn't do that but it is an amusing image.
My Mom and Aunt Squeaky working hard or hardly working?
lol the three of em 'Laying some pipe"

Right O, the Passion Party.  I was very busy trying to get every thing together.  I had to make sure that I had all the aphrodisiacs and wine and candles all ready.  I spent an arm and a leg on food, and spent even more time making it.  Pound Cake Lollipops and chocolate covered strawberries are not easy to make.  I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned.  I got super sexy ready to introduce Madame Rebecca.  And guess what.......NO ONE SHOWED UP!  lmao.  My Aunt Squeaky and Jessica came.  You put us three girls in a room with sex toys, jello shots, and chocolate  and things get pretty funny.  I know what all you pervs are thinking lol.  And after seeing my moms very expensive bed sheets covered in chocolate you might be right.  Only Denise's daughters came over after the sex  sales where done and did that.  We had a blast the babysitters brought the kids over and we all had a fiesta.  So thanks to my two sexual deviants, Squeaky and Jess, for a great night.
I was looking for some one to make them for me.  What a mess!!!

I even bought roses for our night of passion.

Pound Cake Lollipops.  Thanks Today show for the idea.

Peace out Homies.  And get wild I know I do.

Crazy Baby

I think Violet might have a case of the Bi-Polarness. One minute she is a sweet little cuddle bunny,  then she is all business and seriousness.  Next she is cracking jokes and laughing, then it is like an atomic cry bomb has struck the building.  I don't get it.  Maybe babies have a small emotional cup, and it is easily filled and over flowing, only to be filled with a new emotion seconds later.  I don't know....

She has been enjoying the weather, as we all have.  The grill is my new best friend, and is often smoking with yummy goodness.  Also, I have little itty bitty asparagus sprouting up, which had me all jumping in excitement.  I really didn't think they where going to come up, but there they are.  My Basil and Parsley are a sproutin' and I think I have an OCD condition where I have been constantly eyeballing them when I walk by.  If you see me screeching at my plants, I'm not having a seizure, it's me singing to my little friends.  You know what they say, the singing and the talking make em grow faster.

The ACTHA ride was awesome.  I was surprised Jessica and I placed again.  I got third place, and Jessica got fourth.  We were so proud of our ponies, they did an excellent job.  I wasn't sore the next day, which added to the awesomeness.  And I am super happy I didn't crawl into bed feeling like a burnt tomato.

Next weekend is my Passion Party.  So all you ladies that are going make sure you get out your calendars so you can book your own party.  I'm really excited, and I know we are going to have a blast.  No kiddies allowed.  I'm going to try to make some aphrodisiac goodies to munch on.  Any Ideas?
enjoy the spring homies.
Peace out

Getting our Irish on

I know it has been a few days since I have included a new blog.  I have been trying super hard to keep up, but between holidays, practice for the ACTHA ride, and trying to be the best mommy I can be, I hardly have time.   Some times I wonder if this balancing act of how my time is spent isn't really balanced at all.  I need a life outside of the four walls I call home, or insanity will settle in to the crevasses of my brain box.  Most times I am out of the house, of course, Violet is my little chaperon.  The few times I go out on my own it is usually two to four hours of baby free time, with the exception of maybe going out over night with Jason, maybe once a month.  Even on the nights that Violet is spending the night at her Grandma's house I am more often than not, at home.
I know, I know, what is all this "I need to tell you my schedule"  stuff?
First off I want to say, that I am no way ungrateful for the help my family has given me, with Violet.  There have been times when I have almost thrown my hands up in the air and yelled "I GIVE UP!"  With out the full support of my Mother and MIL....Well I don't know how things would be, because I have never been with out it.  But things would be a topsy turvey world, that's for sure.  With that said, there is still room for error, and that's where this installment of  "This Momma is Wild"  comes in.
I don't think I am the first mother to complain about this BUUUUUTTT....  Some times I do ask for help.  Most times it is for small things like can you keep an eye on the babe so I can use the crapper.  If I'm not mistaken, the person that is being asked has two options.  I mean I might be crazy, but isn't that how it usually works?  Yes, or No......Right?  If you don't want to do it then just say so.  Believe me, I will find my way around it.  And doesn't it drive you crazy, when that person says yes and then they complain about it later?  AAAAAA weather it is a babysitter, a friend, or YOUR MOM! lol.  I know we have all been guilty of it.  But I write the blog and so here I am.  Details can be spared, but you all know how them moms get right.  But then again I think,  what good is mom if she's not keeping you on your toes lol?
Okay enough of the waa waa.
St. Patricks Day was so much fun!  A practice ride for the ACTHA earlier in the evening and an ol' Irish drink later on in the evening.  The ride was so much fun, and my Maxie Boy was wonderful.  I can't wait until tomorrow morning, when I can rise and shine with the butterflies in my tummy to compete again.  No I'm not nervous this time, but I am totally excited.  I will let you know how we do.
The party last night was a lot of laughing, and giggling, and singing.  We got a few Irish jigs in there, and even some rock band.  here are the pictures.

Jason ready for St. Patricks day

Jason on his first day of Clinical.  I think ER or Greys Anatomy found their newest character.

All ready for a night out.  I LOVE THAT WIG.

Peace out!

I'm getting very sleepy

It was a sit on my butt kind of day.  You see guys, I have those days too.  The T virus is still attacking my body and I think my white blood cells are lying down on the job.  Come on body!  Stand your ground and destroy these coodies, back up is coming in the form of Dayquil, and Robitussin.  CHARGE!!

I used to brag about how unwavering my immune system had been.  I could be walking, and Achoo "oh I'm sick"  less then twenty four hours later, I was my regular me.  Medicine was Ginger tea and a glass of OJ.  Heck I didn't even get the Chicken Pox until I was twenty two.  My mother used to make me sleep with neighborhood kids in their chicken pox cribs and suck on their viral infected lollipops.  When I did get the Chhicken pox I went into a depression because I was not used to being sick and I hated it.  well, that and I have a phobia of bumpy blistery things.  When I figured out that the scratchy little things all over my body where blisters  I flipped out, and I swear I could not look in the mirror.  Jason had to rub the anti itch lotion on me because I refused to touch those bumps.  I get the hibbie jeebies just thinking about it.

Okay back on track. So it has been a week and bla I'm still sick.  Our kitchen counter looks like a pharmacy.  Baby Advil, Robitussin, Vicks, Little Colds, Mucinex, Dayquil, Nose sucker things, and tissue decorates our house.

So, today  I woke up in monsterous state.  All grumbles and Yuck.  To make matters worse Violet was just as naggy as I was, and was hanging on my legs all morning crying and throwing tantrums.  I think with the release of her three new teeth from their gummy homes, has also released some demons.  Run every one! Violet is on a rampage!

Thanks to my mommy  I was able to close my eyes and I slept.  Four hours of darkness behind my eyelids, and it was supreme.  I slept so hard time flew by, and what felt like a fifteen minute nap, took up the better part of the day.  It is very rare that I nap, but today it was a must.  I don't think my body has rested like that in....I don't even remember how long it has been.  I have been sick now for about a week, but I haven't let that get my busy level down.  My body was exhausted and the sickness over took me.

I must say that I woke up refreshed and was ready to tackle all that the baby threw at me.  Except the kitchen is still a mess and her toys are still strewn across the floor, the bed has been left unmade, and clothes are in much need of washing.  But hey, one thing at a time right?  First get better, then do every thing else.  And when I say every thing, I mean every thing.

Peace out and happy day light savings time!

Facebook and Babysitting

I know, I know I'm doing a lot of changing and bla bla bla to my blog.  But now I am changing some things to FB too.  A couple of months ago I made a Facebook page for this blog.  At the time I didn't know that what I was orginally looking to make was a "Fan Page".  You know with the whole "like" button and stuff, Not an actual profile page.  It took me some time, but I have figured it out.  Long are the days gone, when I had hours to sit on my computer to figure things out.  Most times I'm on here in quick spurts between violets naps, so things take me a little longer to figure out.  So grit your teeth with me people as I learn the ins and outs of blogging.
Tomorrow I will be scrunching up the rough draft of my "This Momma is Wild" Facebook "profile" page, and you can all join me at http://www.facebook.com/pages/This-Momma-is-Wild/189217497784258 .  Don't forget to hit the like button.  If you haven't noticed I'm a very vain person and I want to know how many people like me.  Aaaa HA.  Yes that's me being sarcastic again.
Also I'm still looking for authors to write little tid-bits and such on here.  So let me know.  Email is violetsmommy@live.com . We can get a team mommy blog on here.  And it just doesn't have to be mom's either.  Dad's are always welcome on here.  Even though they have smelly farts.
Business done.
Today I babysat little Damian.  He was such a good little boy.  I know every one says that your children act differently, and are more well behaved around other people.  But in this case I think his parents are lying ;0).  I think they secretly want you to think that he is a booger because they don't want any one to keep him.  We had a great time eating Orange creamsicles and painting.  He defended me against my mother's goose-zilla, bribing him with chicken scratch.  He really liked feeding the fish in the pond.  The only thing I would like to change about my little dude man is that his pooping schedule needs to be improved.  As in don't do it when I'm watching him.  I think Violet and he are like seven months apart.  And if that is what I have to look forward to in a few months in little V's diaper.......AAAaaaaaaAAAA!  Damian got a kick out of me gagging which was a lot worse as I am still a little sick.
Here are some pictures of the dude man himself.
Damian enjoy an Orange creamsicle.  Hoping to get him addicted like I am.

Such an intent gaze on his work of art
Oh ya! creamy orangy goodness!

Violet is spending the day with her Na Na Marty.  When I told them that I was watching another baby today I was met with "What the heck is up with that".  Apparently I was supposed to have a baby free day lol.  Even when I don't have my little girl she is always running in my head.  Well, actually she is screaming in my head. I swear even when she is out of the house I can still hear her crying.  Phantom baby scream fest perhaps.  That's right boys and girls, now that I'm a mother I hear voices in my head.  When do the eyes grow in the back of my head?  Because Violet is into every thing.  I guess that comes with practice.
Oh yeah, Violet's teething.  I have an update.  Not one toof THREE!!!! That's right THREE!  Poor thing, no wonder she has been feeling so terrible lately.  Two more bottom teeth and a top molar.  Pretty soon she will have a whole mouth full of chompers.
So that's all for today, I'm off to a CALA meetin (Chaparral Agriculture and Livestock Association) to nominate my Step-Dad for VP.  Keep your fingers crossed that we get some funding for our garden.
Peace out my homies

T Virus

Sniffle sniffle, cough cough, achoo.  First it was Violet and now it is me.  For the past two days my poor little booger monster, and I really mean boogers, has been sick.  Her tooth finally pushed all the way out, and with it came a whirl wind of sleeplessness and boogers.  She walked around like a zombie and only wanted to be cuddled, which was the first tip off that something was wrong.  After sticking to the meds, and lots of loving, today she was back to her regular self.  I wasn't....

I fell asleep last night with an itchy nose, and awoke with a throat that was dryer than the desert and sorer then my butt after the rodeo.  Arg.  I woke up thinking "No way am I going to be able to function today."  But there are no breaks when it comes to the day to day raising of my little one.  A cold is not an excuse to not change diapers, wash dishes, feed, and entertain.  So functioning is just what I did.

Even burning up Violet and I enjoyed the weather outside.  The past two days have been a swirling mess of dirt and wind.  I watered my strawberries yesterday only to dodge giant tumble weeds in the event.  I'm not lying either, mom was laughing at my screams.  So, with the sun shinning and the sky's blue instead of brown we wondered the yard taking pictures.  I managed to plant my Oregano, Parsley, and Basil in Dixie cups to start inside the house.  And even grilled some steaks.

Here's some random pictures of the yard and stuff.
I'm not sure what this plant is called, but they look really cool.  My dad brought them from California.

Daffodils a bloomin

I just like how this rocks look.  I know I'm odd

Turtle Crossing
The back yard.  I can't wait until it is all green.

So know I hope that my virus is gone by tomorrow.  I got a Passion Party to plan, and Easter Party to plan, A BBQ this weekend, an  ACTHA ride in two weeks to get ready for, and who knows what else that comes along.  Sheesh I need a vacation.  Thinking I might just let Jason marry me for the honeymoon.  Donations anyone?

Busy Weekend.

Before I get to the bla bla blog, I have a couple of shout outs.  First one goes to Lyra Alarcon (sorry Ne Ne if I got the spelling wrong).  A big fat ol' welcome home to our littlest baby girl.  She was born premature, and spent the first few months at the hospital.  But thank the God's whom look over babies, she was sent packing to the comfort of her very own home, this week.  We are so happy for you guys and we all hope that you enjoy the wonders of piling up poopie diapers, and waking up with "WAAAA E WAAAA!"

Next shout out goes to Vanessa and Randy Blake.  They have brought another little girl into the world.  Sabrina, who was also born premature, but in good health.  I'm sure mommy will indulge you in pink and ruffles, and daddy will show you how to gut a fish and off road in no time.

All right,  Violet is super sicko.  She pushed out another toof, yesterday.  I know I have said it again and again but teething blows.  This time however, she has been so sick.  She had a terrible fever today, and I was worried we would be taking her to the hospital.  We did get her temperature down, and by the end of the day she was almost to her usual playful self.  I want to say thanks to my momma.  She kept me calm and was very helpful with the whole thermometer in the pooper.  I couldn't do it, even though Violet didn't even seem to notice.  She was all cuddles to day and that was the first tip off that some thing was up.  I hope she feels better tonight.

Saturday we had a little family day trip. Cloudcroft, NM's streets were swarming with people in masks, girls in tu tus, and painted faces.  Mardi Gra was in town and the spirit was alive and moving with music and all that is strange.  It was so much fun!  I have to say the thrift shops up there are friggin fantastic.  I bought one stores whole Easter display for ten dollars.  Jason and I came upon some really cool masks that we wore all day, we blended very well with all the other freaks.  Violet got a tremendous amount of beads.  When she came home she had more bling then a pimp.  No I know what you are thinking.  I didn't whip the ol' triple D's out, it was a family function and all.  But Violet did flash her belly button a few times.  Also a tip to the parents of Cloudcroft:
It is not okay, or safe or healthy for your children to be let loose into the middle of the street to retrieve candy.  Not only is it very dangerous as some times the man driving the big huge fire truck can not see your three foot two inch daughter crouched down next to his giant tire,  but it often forces me to have a heart attack! Besides it just isn't very good parade etiquette.
Here are some pictures of all the fun:
Looks like this little girl was having to much fun.
Jason and I in our masks.  Of course the colors are very fitting.
This cowboy got the whole crowd going with his booty shakin.  He started stripping on "YMCA".  Of course I started whistling cat calls :0)
Jason in his mask.  So mysterious.

All dressed up for the parade
Scary!!!
Little girls hanging out of a window.  They look like they are having a blast!

Yesterday was my first Gymkhana in about ten years (a club where we do events like barrel racing on horses).  I was so nervous and the night before was filled of visions of me biting the dust.  I thought it would be a big buck fest and I was right.  Unlike my dreams however, I managed to stay on my very young at heart horse, Max.  I'm burnt to a crisp now, and I am so sore.  It was all worth it though for my little green sixth place ribbon, that I received on one of the events.  We had so much fun, and I'm so excited for the next one.
My heart was racing when we walked up to the gate, but as soon as I got in there and I felt my horse prance with excitement I knew I was home.  Ready?  Set? GO!!!! and yes I actually say that to Max to get him pumped up.
Jessica on Tehya grumpiest horse in the south.  getting the job done.
My Aunt Squeaky on Mariah.  Pretty in pink.
Me and Max.  And yes he is sticking his tongue out at the camera.  You can see why our personalities go along so well.
Again Jessica and Tehya zooming at mach 9.

YEEE HAAAA
We are a busy family, always movin and a groovin.
Peace to you all!

Uncle Paul and Photo Bombing

Today was a day of remembrance.  One year ago my brother in law passed away in a car accident.  Jason's little brother is missed so much.  Violet was only two months old when it happened, and it saddens me so much that she will never really know her Uncle Paul.  We of course will tell her all the stories of him.  Especially the one where he burnt his eye lashes off trying to light the furnace.

Instead of mopping around being sad all day.  We knew Paul would want us to be happy.  To make his niece happy.  So we flew kites for him at the park.  I'm pretty sure he saw them, they went so high I know they were touching heaven.  And I know he was even laughing at Jason's kite that kept making really fast circles and slamming into the ground.  So instead of being sad here are some good pictures of us at the park.
